hahahah! hello, im BACK from korea yesterday night.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
tsk. it was fun in korea, and it was SO COLD!
but it didn't snow. argh
it was -6 degrees and it didn't snow.
poof.
played big 2 everyday on the bus.
and the things there are super expensive.
1 small keychain costs like S$8
o.O lol. but its nice. hahaha
when i went,
i couldn't sleep in the plane and i ended up not sleeping the whole night.
only after the plane landed did i feel like sleeping.
pictures are all with my dad, will try to get it.
DAY ONE its
christmas!
practically slept all the way in the bus.
when i first got a good look at all the people in the bus,
i was thinking, oh my gosh, everyone is so
OLD in this tour.
there were a couple of small kids, but they are so
SMALL.
there were two little girls, two little boys. hahah.
the boys weren't that little, somewhat like 10 or 11, which
i mistook for 7. oops.
okay, we went mountain climbing the
FIRST DAY.
especially when i didn't sleep a wink except on the bus journey.
and i tell you,
i am a little scared of heights.
but not frightened enough for me to back out.
hahaha. my hands were freezing.
big mistake to buy gloves without me huh.
and get me this pair of gloves where i can't even get a good grip on.
and already on the first day, my lips went numb.
cool, i exhale wisps of smoke.
hah and i saw them cooking insects and the lady eating.
hahaha. ewww.
and so we headed for lunch and its not that fantastical.
i don't like it. and after that,
a 4 hour journey to the outskirts of seoul.
lol, made friends with the family of 5 beside me when
they asked me to join in to play big 2.
3 sons- benjamin, nicholas and marcus.
seriously, they look old, except for marcus,
who is 10. the other two looked 20 and 18.
yeah, but they are 18 and 16 -.-
yeah, and i thrashed them in big 2 =D
yay!
we reached this dinner thingy at 7 plus
and the food was cold. ahahha.
my parents were complaining.
but the grape wine was nice. =D
reached the hotel and the tour guide promised
to let us have fireworks.
oh yeah, i didn't introduce the tourguide from korea
and another from singapore.
the korean tourguide is called xiao li.
and the singaporean tourguide is called jesse.
lol. xiao li is a weird name.
yeah, so we had fireworks. its so cool.
but we couldn't photograph it, cause it was too dark.
the sky turns dark at 4.30pm.
ahhaha. short day long night.
hotel was nice to me, but not to my mum.
DAY TWOseriously, i have a PERSONAL alarm clock.
my father. since my dad and brother stay in another room,
they called 45 minutes before the morning call to wake us up.
the funny thing is, my mum thinks the the ringing of the phone
was coming from my
watch.
HAAHAHHAHAHAHA. my dad called about 4 times before
i could get up. the air was so dry.
we went err..... omg i forgot.
but i know we went for a super long bus journey.
3 or 4 hours in the afternoon.
to oak valley. a skiing resort.
it was so damn stuffy. played big 2 again.
we then rented the stuff for skiing.
spent more than an hour.
the shoes were heavy, really heavy.
and it was already 10pm by that time.
dad didn't allow us to go skiing at night,
so yeah, we watched the other people go.
so %@#$%&^*
the hotel was damn nice.
it was very big, and the journey from the hotel to the ski place
takes 15 minutes. i think its really 6 star.
it had a living room, two bedrooms and a kitchen
and two toilets.
lol, but only for 2 people.
and it was already the smallest room,
which costs about S$750 a night.
we were supposed to go muju
or something, but there was heavy snow and
the place was overbooked o.O
like what the heck.
DAY THREE
skiing!
but artificial snow -.-
the ski place was really really big.
and cool.
didn't really fell down. made friends with
huifeng, who is going to be sec 1 next year.
i think snowboarding looks nicer.
the skis were so long i couldn't cross-country.
hahaha.
but overall, it was really fun, just that-
my dad can't ski, he keeps falling.
my mum can't really ski, she is afraid to bang into people
so she goes at snail speed.
my brother can ski, but he can't climb back up.
he will fall down. hahahaha.
naninanipoopoo.
for dinner, we cooked ourselves
i ate 26 dumplings.
hahaha, and cup noodles.
and, the shoes was so heavy that i dragged it
using my ski stick all the way to the bus.
DAY FOURwe went everland theme park.
all the teens went together.
so it was me, my brother, huifeng, the three brothers and delvin.
HAHHA. it was sooo fun!
but it was the coldest day of these 7 days.
-6 or -7 around there.
but the wind made it so so so much colder.
my whole face was numb.
our lips were so numb that we couldn't even talk properly.
we spent half our time at the heaters, cause it was SO cold,
and it was an outdoor themepark.
hahha.
and SOME people stuffed tissues into their socks
to gain heat. because they are wearing super thin
ankle socks. -.-
hahaha. okay, i can tell you, 3/4 of the rides we sat on
were spinning rides, till i almost wanted to vomit.
urgh. such as viking, 360 degrees spinning,
spinning ufo or something, shooting thing which spins.
hahaha. the haunted house was a waste of money.
and you know what, during the 360 degree thingy,
it was spinning so fast that when i was upside down,
my wool hat DROPPED! HAHHAHAHAH!
luckily the lady found it and returned to me.
the fake ghosts in the haunted house were really fake.
just like the cartoon ghosts.
bumper car was nice, bumping into everyone.
our last ride was a KIDDY ROLLER COASTER.
it was so kiddy i think i can laugh.
we thought it would last maybe about 5 minutes or so,
but in the end it lasted only 1 minute. poof. what a waste of tickets.
all the other really thrilling roller coasters
were closed during winters, so yeah.
and we were joking about xiaoli.
he told us that it was really really scary and whatever
but it really isn't, so we guess he was on the kiddy
roller coaster and during the ride,
he was screaming
"ahhhhh. hao pa ah"
lol, his chinese is weird. especially when he pronounce
dao le, which means we've reached our destination.
when he says it, it is dao in the fourth pronounciation.
so its fall instead of reach.
the vomiting feeling lasted the whole day.
urgh. and we had another long long bus ride.
big 2 again =D
slept on tatami that night.
quite alright just that i woke up with back ache.
haha.
DAY FIVEwe went to mount sorak.
boring. we had some 4 wheel motorcycle thingy
and it made my thumb numb so i knocked into the person
infront without knowing.
and halfway there was a big accident cause
marcus lost control of the thingy and fell into a frozen lake.
haha, but due to good reflexes, he jumped out of the motorcycle
before it was too late and climbed up.
damn close man.
after that we passed a frozen lake and we stood on it
while breaking the ice.
the ice is so thick. yeah, but finally someone threw a
giant stone and it broke. hahahah.
we then went some place and went on a long ride to
lotteworld at night.
seriously, its fun.
we sat all the roller coasters and some were pretty stupid.
an example was the vintage car thingy. hahahaha
there was totally no thrill, and i was the driver,
though i can't even turn the wheel.
the roller coaster was bumpy, so i was called the lousy driver -.-
ahha, but no pictures taken, the camera was with my mum.
i love the 360 degree roller coaster.
so fun.
unfortunately, my brother is a coward,
and he didn't sit the giant loop.
so in the end, only me, marcus, nicholas and benjamin.
four people out of seven. o.O
at the beginning i was really scared cause the thing wasn't
tightened and yeah, you kind of can move alot around your seat.
afterall it wasn't so scary. and i held on to the bar so tightly
for nothing. you can still lie back and eveyrthing,
just that you keep moving round and round your seat.
not what you normally have.
the nice part was when we went to get ice cream.
the guy was smart, he kept grabbing our ice cream back
and then poking the ice cream onto our faces.
argh.
hahaha. good skills.
oh yeah, there was an outdoor roller coaster.
we went, but i brought neither hat nor gloves nor
my thickest jacket. yeah, so i was practically
freezing. and so was my brother.
so in the end, my brother borrowed
nicholas's peanut hat thingy which i guess had
full of gel. i had to suffer without it.
so after the ride my hands were really painful.
haha, but the peanut hat protected my brother's hands.
nice peanut hats from everland. =D
it is really cute.
we sat the viking last.
omg, it went 180 degrees.
argh. so much higher than the one in everland.
apparently i got a headache after that.
but it was worth it =D
my mum was unhapppy cause we took their tickets
and my mum was bored the whole night.
throwing a silent tantrum, more like =D
was darn tired by that time.
didn't get to sit the bungee drop
or smth.
DAY SIXoh, its more of museums.
like the war museums. i like the tanks.
they are cool. ahhaha. we were throwing
stones to break the ice.
after that we had shopping.
but its not much.
most stuff are winterwear and yeah the accessories are ugly.
to me.
so we didn't buy anything while other families bought
so much. argh.
at the end of the day, i only bought 1 thing.
a tommyakins pullover. poof.
DAY SEVENwe bought lotsa food like titbits and stuff,
and guess what, my dad spent US$1540 on ginseng.
what the hell. it doesn't taste nice.
didn't eat much korean food during the trip actually.
tastes chinese to me.
ahha. it was fun, except the no snow part.
urgh. and the expensiveness of korea.
ahhaha.
eh by the way, did anyone get a scholarship award too?
cause i don't know why i got it.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone =D
♥ Ah, my lovely sunflower!
